Na njemu, odnosno u njegovoj orbiti trenutno se nalazi sedam operativnih aparata s na\u0161eg svijeta; najstariji me\u0111u njima lansiran je jo\u0161 2001. godine. Osim NASA-inih uzdanica (<strong>Mars Odyssey<\/strong> te <strong>Opportunity, MRO, Curiosity<\/strong> i <strong>MAVEN<\/strong>), tu su jo\u0161 ESA (<strong>Mars Express<\/strong>) i Indija (<strong>Mars Orbiter Mission<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Navedena flota upravo je dobila poja\u010danje: ondje je pristigao <strong>ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter<\/strong> (TGO), s kojeg se danas poslijepodne odvojio lander <strong>Sciaparelli<\/strong>. Tako\u0111er \u0107e pratiti atmosferu u potrazi za metanom. Metan je, naime, rezultat isklju\u010divo geolo\u0161kih i biolo\u0161kih procesa, stoga je va\u017eno saznati kako je to\u010dno dospio u Marsovu atmosferu. TGO \u0107e tako\u0111er slu\u017eiti kao relej u komunikaciji izme\u0111u kontrole na Zemlji i budu\u0107ih europskih misija na povr\u0161ini Marsa.<\/p>\n<p>Svrha modula Sciaparelli je prije svega testiranje tehnologije kojom \u0107e se u budu\u0107nosti spu\u0161tati letjelice na povr\u0161inu ovog svijeta. (Credit: Wikipedia)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>TGO i Sciaparelli dio su du\u017ee pri\u010de: rije\u010d je o zajedni\u010dkoj dvojnoj misiji Europske svemirske agencije (ESA) i Ruske svemirske agencije (Roskosmos) pod nazivom <strong>ExoMars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Prvi dio misije \u010dine upravo TGO i Sciaparelli, lansirani na ruskoj raketi <strong>Proton<\/strong>.
