Otkriveno je da njezin aktivni sastojak ima sli\u010dan (i superiorniji) efekt ubla\u017eavanja boli te protuupalna svojstva od tetrahidrokanabinola (poznatiji kao THC) u kanabisu.<\/p>\n<p>Po\u010detak pri\u010de o tome da tip mahovine postane potencijalna alternativa medicinskom kanabisu se\u017ee jo\u0161 dalje. 1994. godine je japanski fitokemi\u010dar Yoshinori Asakawa otkrio kako jedna rijetka mahovina (Radula perrottetii) proizvodi prirodnu tvar perotetinen (PET).<\/p>\n<p>Radula perrottetii je porijeklom iz Japana, Kostarike i Novog Zelanda. Utvrdio je kako je njezin PET povezan s THC-om po tome \u0161to su im atomi povezani na sli\u010dan na\u010din. Razlikuju se po (trodimenzionalnoj) strukturi i po dodatnoj benzilnoj skupini.<\/p>\n<h4>PET vs. THC<\/h4>\n<p>Znanstvenici sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta u Bernu<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unibe.ch\/news\/media_news\/media_relations_e\/media_releases\/2018\/medienmitteilungen_2018\/a_type_of_moss_could_prove_to_be_more_medically_effective_than_hemp\/index_eng.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> istra\u017euju u\u010dinke PET-a i njegovu sli\u010dnost s kanabisom<\/a>.\u00a0&#8220;Nevjerojatno je kako svega dvije vrste biljaka, odvojene s 300 milijuna godina evolucije, proizvode psihoaktivne kanabinoide&#8221;, ka\u017ee glavni autor studije, J\u00fcrg Gertsch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/advances.sciencemag.org\/content\/4\/10\/eaat2166\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U studiji objavljenoj<\/a> u \u010dasopisu <em>Science Advances <\/em>testirano\u00a0je nekoliko mi\u0161eva. Jedna grupa s PET injekcijom i jedna s THC injekcijom.<\/p>\n<p>PET je brzo aktivirao kanabinoidne receptore u mozgovima testiranih mi\u0161eva. Tako\u0111er, \u010dini se i da ima ja\u010di protuupalni u\u010dinak od THC-a. Foto: Stefan Fischer<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Znanstvenici se nadaju kako \u0107e njihov rad otvoriti put za terapijsku upotrebu PET-a.
